really, without wind, it would be a lot less cold.

Today was really busy for me, and, in turn, really tiring. I'm rushing through this post because I have to go to the dentist in a few minutes....

The weather is getting pretty cold right now, so I'm thinking about everything I need for winter - a new winter coat and a new pair of (warm!) winter boots. If anyone has found any good websites or stores for either of these, please email me or comment, because I've looked everywhere and so far NADDA.

These are my DIYed jeans, orginially from my trip to New York at Delia*s. I paint splattered them and put the handprints on them. The reason this outfit is so...generic is because I had pictues today. My mom wouldn't let me wear my glasses and she was funny when she saw I chose to wear these jeans. But I guess we all have days of mediocrity.

OUTFIT: jeans - orginally Delia*s but DIYed, scarf - handmade gift, shoes - converse, coat F21

Last night I got bored and was looking at the Nasty Gal website, and everything they have there. I like it ALLL, but these four things are the things I love the MOST from Nasty Gal.

LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE.

why do you let me stay here, all by myself? won't you come out and play here? i'm just sitting on the shelf.

Tomorrow is *twitch* PICTURE DAY *twitch*. Whoooooopy doooo. My mom doesn't want me to have my pictures with my glasses (which, for clarification, are not prescription), which makes me sigh. *sighs*.

OUTFIT: dress - F21, shirt - dad's, bracelets - gifts or from mexico, scarf - mexico

Today when I got home from school, I was thinking a lot about summer and winter. Summer, here, because for some reason I have some strange crave to go exploring in the Sahara. Bizzare, I know.

But more often then summer, I was thinking about winter and how SUPER EXCITED I AM FOR IT! Indoor soccer, volleyball, lots of tea and hot chocolate, more freedom in layers and dressing, snow (which is nice for a while, but then gets annoying), COOKIES, pretty colours, and of course, I'm going to France for two months! HDIFJELWTIWFHHWIJF#(UR#IHJFNE(F*@UIJ#P)+Q@ UI# YAY.

OUTFIT: hat - gift, tights - H&M, shirt - razzle dazzle, aparently, pj shorts - old navy (YEAH I WENT THERE).

OH SO EXCITED FOR PARIS FASHION WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK! :)

I LOVE THE RAIN, BUT STANDING IN IT FOR 20 MINUTES IN THE MORNING TO LET CARS GO IN A SCHOOL PARKING LOT MAKES YOU SOAKED AND IS RIDICULOUS.... at least it smelt good though.

Unfortunately, I was wet the entire day due to the scenario described in my title. Yeah, not exactly a thing that makes me :).

Something that does make me :)? Red lips. I don't know why. I love red, reddddd lips. Oh and Polariods, but everybody loves Polariods. The camera in my picture is my grandmother's, but it has no film left. If I were to find film, that isn't super expensize, I would probably buy it. ANYBODY GOT SOME POLARIOD FILM TO SPARE? :D

Yesterday my coach said we have a whole 'nother weekend of tryouts, both mornings next weekend at 9am. To 11am. THAT'S FOUR HOURS. I LOVE SOCCER BUT THAT'S FOUR HOURS IN THE NICE EARLY COLD WET MORNING. Actually, I shouldn't be complaining. I really do like it. I was thinking about soccer this morning, hence the soccer jersey being worn today.

I've thought A LOT recently about winter and, for some reason, I'm actually sort of happy and excited for it to come. It makes dressing 849210849023849023894x easier, baking cookies seems more legit, hot chocolate is always good, and snow is okay for a bit.

This is my wall. DUH. Okay, sorry. This is my magazine wall. It's not even close to being finished. Most of the cutouts are from Nylon, because it's just rad, but there's some others from...some other magazines. Unfortunately the only magazine store in my whole city doesn't carry many - if ANY - foreign magazines, and that makes me :(.

OUTFIT:
shirt - soccer jersey
skirt - gift
ring - gift

belt - friend's belt

i should be looking for my soccer flip flops right now.

I know I said I would try to post yesterday, but, alas, I couldn't get on the computer. Apparently French Exchange teenagers like the computer. Anyways, the football game was meh, I barely actually watched the game, it's more about social stuff here. We had our first tryout for soccer this morning and I'm really happy, the new coach seems really good and I think our team will be good.

This might be my favourite shirt I own. I don't even know anything about Superman (besides the fact that he's super, but that's obviousss), but I love love love this shirt. I wish I bought it a little bigger but oh well.

I feel like Supergirl right now, and I don't know why. Last night I was in a really bad bad baaaad mood (cue MJ) but this morning and right now I feel kind of invinceable. It's supercalifragalicstickexpealadious. Really.

This outfit is actually from August (what? You mean the month that was supposed to be summer but wasn't really? Yeah, that month). I was planning on wearing this to Virgin Fest Toronto (which was AH-MAZE-IN-GG) but for some reason I chickened out. I wish I had have worn it now :(.

OUTFIT:
shirt - D-tox
skirt - folded dress from F21. :S
belt - found it in my room one day, probably a friend's belt

in an hour and thirty minutes i have made my life a lot more busy.

I went to 1 of 3 volleyball tryouts and made the Blue (as B, not A) team. I'm pretty proud of myself, but that's winter soccer x2. Oi.

I had to squeeze in a quick post of an outfit from yesterday. It's not my everyday thing but I was bored and sick and felt frilly and VOILA. This dress is actually a skirt, but I never use it as one.

I am now hot and sticky and sweaty and tired, because I had a Meet-The-Teacher thing (which went....awkwardly but good I guess), volleyball tryouts, and then my soccer banquet. NOTE: I WAS ALL EXCITED BECAUSE I THOUGHT I GOT TO DRESS UP FOR THE BANQUET BUT WE JUST WORE OUR JERSEYS AND TRACK SUITS. Let downnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn, oh wells though.

OUTFIT:
skirt as a dress - thrifted
belt - cut old tights
bracelet - gift

Tomorrow, I can almost garuntee, the will probably not be a post. I'm going to two football games at my friend's highschool but there most likely WILL be pictures from the game later.

UNTIL NEXT TIME, MIA LOVIAS.

muhahahaeheheghneghn *coughs sounds*

I stayed home from school today (hence the muhaha) but it was because I was sick (hence the eheheghneghn *coughing sounds*). Not entirely fun, as you can probably imagine.

You know, even pajamas can be sort of fashiony. It's ironic, when you're sick you're supposed to be all UH I'M SICK GET AWAY FROM ME and in a bad mood and stuff, but I'm actually in a good mood, for the most part. I guess that's the colours in the outfit speaking.

sock - D-tox, shorts/pjs - gift, tank top - h&m, shirt - dad's

Today I really, really, really really really really really really really really want to shop. I was watching NylonTV and the Weardrobe conference videos for a while, and then I started thinking about this little store downtown that actually looks pretty good and inexpensive and different, but last time I was is in I had no money to spend with me....

OH YEAH, BY THE WAY, YOHJI AND LUELLA AND CHARLES ANASTASE ARE AMAZING. CUE PHOTOS. I KNOW YOHJI WASN'T PART OF LONDON BUT I FEEL LIKE INCLUDING HIM IN THIS... FIRST LUELLA.

The colours at Luella were TO DIE FOR, and that cute heart-cutout dress was just awesomeeeeee. IF LOVE WERE A RUNWAY SHOW,  I THINK THIS WOULD BE IT.

NEXT CHARLES. What can I say? AMAZING OVERALLS, GARBAGE-BAG-TYPE-GORGEOUS CLOTHES, pretty radddddddd colours. Another winner.

AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST - ACTUALLY, THE SHOW THAT TAKES GOLD...Y3! YOHJIIIIII. Not only did it have GORGEOUS CLOTHES, GORGEOUS MODELS, AND GORGEOUS COLOURS, IT WAS ALL BASED ON SOCCER. SOCCCCCCCCCCCER. YAYAYAYAYA WIN. Okay done. :)

the last day of summer never felt so cold, never felt so old

These past couple days have been a bit odd. I don't even know how to describe it.

On Saturday we had our end of year soccer party and I had a really, really good time. Like so good, I'm surprised. But it messed with my brain because it felt more like that was the beginning of summer, not the end. The Autumnal Equinox is tomorrow, so it literally was the last day of summer today. It wasn't very summery weather though. (SUN, SUN, MR GOLDEN SUN, PLEASE SHINE DOWN ON ME!) The weather was so not summery that, in fact, I had to resort to my winter heat-producing ways, which mean thick scarves and warm, fuzzy socks. I find comfort in them, though, so I guess it's not a terrible thing...

I feel like making noise. I want to be locked in a room with only a set of drums and a keyboard for hours (maybe some food, too) - and a yoga DVD - just to make noise. And how do young, bored kids make noise? Pots and pans, my friends, POTS AND PANS. Cool lighting isn't a bad idea, either.

SS10 NEW YORK REVIEW. SORT OF.

So here is my PROMISED review of sorts. I knew if I wrote down everything and explained it, it would literally take hours, so I opted out. I also tried to save some pictures but those would take even more hours to upload (there's 170 of them). And this is just for New York!

So, I scanned the notes I took on the shows. It's the condensed, short, simple, original way I wrote everything - and I'm sorry if you can't read it, but nonetheless....VOILA.

And since all the photos I saved to my computer I ALSO saved to my Style.com account, I decided to publish the lookbook and give you a link to it, because it makes life a WHOLE lot easier. So you can find that lookbook here.

busy beeeeee

Sorry I've been MIA recently, lots of soccer and homework and all that non-jazzy stuff. I'll get started again in the next day or so, I promise!

But as for now, I just got home from my year-end soccer party. Yayyys. We only lost 2 times this season - we worked really, really hard. I'm quite *tears up* proud of myself and the girls.

We went to Niagara Falls and Rochester, New York for two of our tournaments. Unfortunately, we didn't have much time to shop in either place. Oh wellllls.

LAWL, WE ENDED OUR SEASON TODAY AND OUR TRYOUTS ARE NEXT WEEK. IT NEVER STOPPPPPPS. BUT I LIKE IT LIKE THAT.

My NYFW roundup will be posted tomorrow, but for now, I'm off to look at more Fashion Week pics and then watch Dirty Dancing. Patrick Swayze :(

2+2 in base 4 is 10.

YEH BINARY CODE. Since my class is *gifted* we get to talk about random things in class, like we did today. About how the world is really only a thoery and life and numbers and everything we believe to be true is a theory. Well, actually, it was mostly about space and nebulas and stuff until I said that what they are saying could be a huge hoax, and we're doomed. Not very optimistic, I know. But then I said I wouldn't care if I was doomed, as long as I had epic music to match the doominess to make it as cheesy as some other "end of the WORLD!" books and movies out there, I'd be alright. Then the scene started to play in my head and I started laughing. Just saying.

I felt all nerdy this morning because last night I read (again) "I Love You Beth Cooper". You should.

Today my outfit was boring and cliche, but I guess that's okay some days. I've got to start (and finish) my scrapbook page tonight, so this qualify as the fastest typed and fastest editted pictures and post yet.

I was just looking over these photos and thinking to myself 'how cliche and unattractively awkward can these photos get?' Oh, but wait! America's Next Top Model is on tonight, so maybe tomorrow you'll see something NEW and FRESH as my blog title suggests.

Oh well, I tried to be even MORE cliche by wearing a toned down Marc Jacobs-esque headband...there was a bow on the bottom but it wouldn't stay on top of my head...
Anyways.

I'll try to be more MIEYR*WEIRHOWEJRI*#&(*HRD*)#EJ - the way I normally am -tomorrow. KKKKKK,

OUTFIT;

these photos are like my life - AWKWARD BUT I LIKE IT.

Especially this one. Also, Ninja isn't a very good model. I know models and photographers and photoshoot directors talk about keeping things moving, but he moves a bit too much. Okay.....maybe waaaaaaaaay too much.

I know plaid is ALL THE RAGE right now, but it's that ugly, yellow/red/purple/blue/green block plaid....and this is not. So...yeah.

I RAN 10 LAPS OF MY SCHOOLYARD AT ABOUT 2 MINS AVERAGE. IT WAS SWEATY.

I'm sorry my photos have not had much optimism in them lately, BOO HORMONES. But I will try. HAPPINESS IS ON IT'S WAY. *follow, follow, follow, follow the yellow brick rooad*

My hair is in that grow out stage, where all I can do with it is put it up. I'm desperately considering La Roux's haircut, or something of the like. (Her music, too, but the hair is aw-mahh-zzzz-ing.)

And today I realised that I am aboslutely IN LOVE with boxers and sequined hotpants, such as the ones following (I KNOW, OLD, BUT I STILL LIKE IT. I LIKE THE SPRINGSUMMER TREND OF LEATHER HOTPANTS TOO, BUT THESE ARE JUST WICKED).

Also, I know it's a bit old now, but I LOVE the make up below. I don't own (or wear) a lot of make up, but I'm looking for the perfect shade to do this is in.

Outfit:
Shirt - Razzle Dazzle from Winners
Spandex - Nike
Stockings - Drug Store no name brand

escape velocity

Because of school rules, what I wanna wear is definitely not what I do wear do wear to school. It sucks. And I hate making things "wearable", but I'm used to it and it has to be done. But enough complaining. WAIT ONE MORE. Ughh.
This was my school day outfit;

And this is what I wanted to wear;

Those shoes are gorgeous. They are my mom's and I LOVE THEM. THEY'RE PRETTY LOOKING AND COMFY ENOUGH AND JUST GENERALLY AWESOME. AND THE HEELS AREN'T TOOOOO HIGH.

In science we were talking about "force" (may it be with you, young Luke), which turned into a discussion on gravity and gravitational pull and whatnot. My teacher kept saying something about 'escape velocity' 'escape velocity', and it sounds like some totally awesome band name. Then we got all ~deep and ~emotional and figured that "due to gravity we're always falling'.

Then we went into the fact that - get this kids - ACROSS THE UNIVERSE, TECHNICALLY, YOU MIGHT BE ABLE TO SEE DINOSAURS ON EARTH WITH A REALLY GOOD TELESCOPE. *Momma, I WANNA SEE DY-NO-SAWW-R-S*

Oh and listen to: Coeur de Pirate. She's French and awesome. LALALALA. I've been singing her all day. Insert (photo that makes me TOTES JEALZZ) here:

the jungle is massive, so please don't be so passive be aggressive, impress us

Today my family went to look at trailers and motorhomes (WHAT FUN, NO?). It was sticky and hot and some of them smelt like glue, but then there were those big ones that went OH HEY LOOK AT ME I'M COOL AND I HAVE MONEY AND I LIKE COMFORT. In their defence, the really big and expensive ones were quite comfortable.

My mom has this idea that when I'm off to university, her and my dad will sell the house and live in a motorhome travelling across the United States and Canada for - get this - my dogs . Yeah. There's three of them and two of the lure course (wikipedia link for more info), and my mom wants to travel around to dog events. WHAT IF YOU DON'T HAVE INTERNET, MOM, TO E-MAIL ME AND KEEP IN TOUCH? THEN I'LL THINK YOU'RE DEAD. My argument is valid, thanks.

My one dog, Ninja, has this fake, stuffed mouse that he plays with. He will RIP THE INSIDES out of everything else, but he's had for pretty much ever, and he hasn't ripped up. Kind of like my friends, ripping up my room. They come over for a sleepover or whatevs and then my room looks like a hurricane went through it. Then I have to clean it up. In other news, get to make a scrapbook page about me for my soccer team coach, and I'm oozing with enthuasiasm. Did you see that? Oozing. OOOOZING. (Not trying to be sarcastic here, I just really like the sound. Say it. Out loud, you know, IRL. OOOOZING.)
